Lenna had just moved to Chicago and was modeling through a local agency when she posed for her Playmate test. A cursory look at her data sheet reveals Lenna enjoyed the darker things in life (Bergman movies, moody music, <i>Night Gallery</i>) and was utterly in love with her husband. In 1973 University of Southern California programmers digitized her Centerfold as a test for use over the Internet's precursor. To this day, a cropped version of Lenna's photo is the industry standard for tests and Playboy receives many requests to use the photo in technical text books. Lenna is now considered the First Lady of the Internet.
