Gwen was working retail in Shreveport, Louisiana when she asked a local photographer whether or not he had connections to Playboy. The photographer was able to help Gwen set up a test photo shoot the following weekend. "Being a Playmate is a big accomplishment and something I'd always be proud of," Gwen noted in her Playmate data sheet. Her ambitions included having no regrets and being happy with whatever life threw her way.
